Hi everyone,

we arrive into Orlando from Dublin, Ireland on Monday 27th December in the evening around 6pm. We cruise Tuesday 28th at 4pm from Pt Canaveral. Does that mean our best option for having a test to show at boarding on Tuesday is to have a rapid antigen or whatever is fastest? Just trying to get organized. We will travel over to Pt Canveral and stay there monday night.

I don’t think it’s wise to assume arriving in Orlando on Monday evening, we’ll be able to just get a test with very fast results somewhere that will be ready for boarding Tuesday afternoon? or maybe so... being non-americans we are not familiar with your pharmacies etc..

maybe we should take one in Ireland on Sunday 26th night time, hopefully that should be ok inside 48 hours... in case you haven't noticed i've no idea how they work! only know of PCR and antigen.

And on 1st January when we arrive back in Orlando - what is the protocol? Do we take a test on board, does it have to be paid for? Or do we just continue on with our trip to our hotel in Orlando? We are spending 2nd week 1st - 9th Jan in orlando.

thank you

Welcome to CC.

You can sorta kill two birds with one stone by testing on the 26th (it doesn't have to be at night - anytime) - you can use that for the flight over and for the cruise. No need to test after cruise as you are staying in the US.

There is another post just like this. But Air2Sea is not RCG so you won't get an FCC for the airline funds. You will get a refund minus any penalties....said penalties will be listed on your cruise invoice. I believe the fee is $200 outside of the cancellation window.

Thanks!!  Do you know what the cancelation windows are?

Thank you. Is there anywhere on RC website where it tells you exactly what the test has to say / look like? I’m not familiar with these at all…

do you need to go to a testing facility that can produce lab records? Or is something ordered online suffice? Eg if you just bring the testing device / result (I don’t even know what it looks like) does it have to be accompanied by paper ?

I don’t think there’s that kind of detail - the health/test portion of the site details what kind of test is acceptable, not what it should look like.

Yeah everything is quite obscure. Not happy at the moment with the level of details provided about what happens at the boarding process exactly and what is needed. It’s ridiculous for international travelers.

I’ll be calling RC up tomorrow and looking for hard answers if they want to keep our party of 8.
I think we have until November 1st to cancel

You  may be in for disappointment looking for hard answers which they may not have available.

yeah im on hold for the last 30 mins, - again the official website just says a PCR/Antigen... i guess ill go with that then.

Quite ridiculous to be honest. Travelling on a circa 10 hour flight from ireland to florida, and you cant get an answer via email or phone??

Starting to think is it worth the risk at all.
