Activating your band

So in the app, there's a thing in the checkin proceedures to "activate your band".  I recieved my band in the mail and went in to this option.  It tehn tells me my band was delivered to me, and there's a button to manage the band.  If I click on that, it tells me that my band is not activated.  It gives me the choice to report my band lost (which it isn't) or to change my pin, neither of which activates the band, nor is there an activate band button in this option.  Am I missing something to activate the band, or does it just need to be done at the dock, or is it just yet another feature that's not quite there yet for Virgin?

I received my band and just now went to activate it after seeing your post.  It allowed me to enter a PIN and it said it is now activated!

@Phamer55 aside from the fact you are near me in WC, when is your cruise?  VV tells me mine will be at the port for 10/24 voyage..

I'm trying to activate my band in the app and it says it failed, with an error that says "we can't seem to find you, check your wifi"... Anyone have this happen@

It did that to me for my cruise, and I tried again a couple of days later and it worked.  One of my friends could get it to activated and they did that at the port during check in, no problem!
