Kids onsite rapid PCR tests

Has anyone sailed on RCCL recently where their under 12 kid(s) get a complimentary Rapid PCR test onsite?

There seem to be so many different types of PCR tests some of which are the fully evasive nostril swab where they get in there pretty good and do a couple of turns. And then there are others such as saliva tests and nasal tests where they go around the rim of the nose.

If you had your kid tested onsite as part of the requirement or saw the administration do you happen to know which test appears to be administered at the port for kids under 12?

It was the standard rapid test not the one that touches your brain. My daughter didn't mind it at all.

My son had the test at port Canaveral last Friday and it was barely inserted in his nose. Very easy.

Our 6 yr old had the PCR test a couple weeks ago getting on the Oasis in Bayonne. It was non-invasive just inside the nose. Not bad at all.

Different providers get the sample in different ways.  It doesn't matter to the PCR test which collection method is used.
