Vintages

Does anyone know if they still offer light snacks, if ordering wine?  We used to meet before dinner there, have a glass of wine, and share a small cheese/nuts plate.  But that was a few years ago.

We were on Anthem of the Seas last week and they were doing some Tapas snacks at vintages 5-9pm.

The “tapas” options listed for Vintages in the RCI app for Anthem of the Seas are completely different and significantly scaled down than the full platters offered on Allure of the Seas back in 2012, which is a shame because they were fantastic!

Hmm they charge for them now. They used to give the table a cheese/nut plate if you ordered a glass of wine.

Thanks!  Mine doesn’t show tapas. Only wine.

Vintages is adjacent to Jamie's.  Apparently, that is their source.

Makes sense, but on Allure of the Seas Vintages was adjacent to Giovanni’s and I don’t remember them sharing. Plus those full- sized platters were well worth the money. You’d have to get all of the Tapas on Anthem of the Seas to even come close, and the variety is still sadly lacking.

I found pictures (courtesy of CC member Gambee) of Vintage’s Tapas menus from around the 2012 timeframe when I cruised Allure of the Seas. In the pictures I linked in a previous post above, I had the Picasso Select of 7 tapas. You can see on the menus here, that the selection was quite extensive, more so than the six items listed on the current app menu for Anthem of the Seas.

on a separate issue, I remember meeting with some "friends", we had met on a previous cruise.

We met up, and drinks and nibbles were ordered. 

The shock when our "Friends" realized the nibbles had a charge was priceless 🙂

There are a lot of cheapskates out there

 

 

Lol!!  Definitely not!  I will still order it!  So nice to sit there and relax with a glass of wine and a little snack and watch everyone. 😊
