texmex.ferr Posted November 10, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2021 We're due to sail on 13 February and we received this today too. We sailed on Jewel in October around the Greek Island, and apart from having to have a negative test 3 days prior to arriving in Barbados, it looks very similar. What we learned from our Jewel sailings is that it's beneficial to have all documentation printed rather than trying to show it on your phone/tablet etc, because not everyone could get an internet signal, and it delayed check in at the terminals. Have a great time on 5 December, and would be great if you could post a little about your experience, especially since its the first cruise from Barbados, ie, do you have to test at the ports before disembarking the ship, and do you have to do ship excursions or can you wander on your own?

I would think that a screenshot of your documents would work if you do not have Internet service? Also it states above that All guests, regardless of vaccination status, must purchase tours through Royal Caribbean for all destinations on our itinerary. The purchase of tours through Royal Caribbean is primarily only for sailings in December. Someone on social media called Royal today, and this was reported I have just spoken to a very helpful RC agent in Guatemala. Specifically I wanted to know if the protocols regarding RC shore excursions only are restricted to December 2021 alone (as per the email received last night from RC). She said that from Jan 2022 passengers may leave the ship unescorted EXCEPT on the following Islands; St Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, St Kitts, Tobago, Trinidad, Grenada, Martinique, Dominica and St Vincent. These restrictions are in place from Jan 2022-March 2022. I must stress this is what I was told and is not information I have read anywhere. Not sure if this helps or not! x
