Question on "quad cabin"

For our upcoming cruise, we thought we chose the perfect veranda cabin according to the deck and location that we prefer.   However, when looking closely again at the deck plan, I see a little rectangle symbol that indicates that our cabin is a "quad."  There are only two of us, so we don't need any pull-down bunks or anything like that.  Am I correct in assuming that these extra beds are out of sight/out of mind if not being used, and we won't see any difference in our quad room from a regular room?
