You're not only in the wrong forum, you're on the wrong website. Please, please get advice from someone who understands investing before buying shares of an underperforming company in pursuit of onboard credit. Make quality investments and use the capital appreciation to buy your own .

No one else provided advice, just how to purchase the stock.

Yes, let's keep this to the subject - requesting your SH OBC.

Uncle Google can provide plenty of information on how to open a brokerage account and point anyone to dozens of articles on where to invest.  And on investing in general.

I'm still waiting for confirmation for my shares.  Hope I didn't wait too late.  I'm just used to the Good Old Days when I got confirmation within a couple of days.  The record was 59 minutes, but that was several years ago.

I got reject for my September cruise on-board credit. They said the benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2022. Have to wait until the next board vote to extend it.

Received confirmation of my shareholder credit for February cruise.  Around 2 weeks turnaround from request to notification it was credited, own between 200 and 300 shares, on a VIFP/resident rate (so discounted, but not casino discounted).

Soft disagree. If you buy 100 shares at $20, and do two, seven night cruises a year, you're getting a respectable return solely based on the OBC. If we're talking hundreds of shares, or a one time cruiser I would agree with you.

Disclaimer: I own around a thousand shares, although I purchased much closer to the bottom.

Yes, they used to pretty much approve any cruise, at any date.  They've started adhering to their own "rules" a bit more closely.

I have a B2B2B for next October, so I'll probably wait until I have my August 31 statement and send it for all three then.

Last November,  I booked a last-minute rate and was subsequently denied my OBC request.  I just sent a request for my upcoming cruise, VIFP rate, so I'll let you all know how that goes.

Okay!  I just got a confirmation that my OBC was approved.

Jan. 11, 2022 we were notified our Norwegian cruise for Jan. 19-28 was cancelled.

Jan. 12, 2022 booked a Carnival Cruise for Jan. 22-29 directly through Carnival.

Jan. 12, 2022 sent an email to Carnival with our shareholders information.

Jan. 26, 2022 while on the cruise we received a confirming email our $100 OBC had been approved.  We used it to reduce our 7 day $13.99 pp per day gratuities charge from $195.86 to $95.86.

We were VERY surprised to have the OBC approved not only because we requested it so close to the sailing date but also due of the deeply discounted VIFP rate we received. Whether booking directly through Carnival and not a travel agent helped I don't know.  The only suggestion I can offer is ASK.  The worst that can happen is the request gets denied.

We are doing a 16 day cruise in Sept. and are hoping our $250 OBC gets approved then also.

I received my $100 OBC...which given the cruise price was $100, not including tax and port charges was great news.  We have about 110 shares, so don't think share #s have anything to do with it, as long as you have the 100 base.
