Has anyone had a PCR test at the hospital near Amber Cove? (CENTRO MÉDICO CABARETE)

It's a Carnival-owned port in the DR.

no but I had one done in Mexico $80 USD to fly back to Canada.  They used a Q-tip in our mouth called Oropharingeal and emailed the results the next day. No test whatever to fly there going back in a couple weeks. I'm more stress over our two cruises in January than I am going to Mexico and that's the honest truth.
