WI-Cruiser Posted November 29, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2021 We're on the Symphony out of Miami in January. The day we get off the SYmphony we start a new cruise on the Odyssey out of Fort Lauderdale. Anyone have suggestions regarding transportation between Miami and Fort Lauderdale ports, besides the obvious Uber/Lyft?

GrahamsGram Posted November 29, 2021 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2021 We are in the same predicament. Trying to go from Ft. Lauderdale Hotel from POM. The transportation licenses do not allow some companies to do a one way. They require round trip, or so I’ve been informed. Interested in seeing how others manage this. GrahamsGram Posted November 29, 2021 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Sorry: to Fort Lauderdale Hotel. ☺️

Rare livingonthebeach Posted November 29, 2021 #6 Share Posted November 29, 2021 There are taxis and limo services as well, but as was mentioned, will be more expensive. Your best bet is Uber or Lyft.
GrahamsGram Posted November 29, 2021 #7 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Thanks, Biker! I am a little suspect as I did the same routine pre-Covid and had no difficulty booking Jiffy Jeff. Now they tell me their “papers” require me to be round trip Fort Lauderdale to POM. Will probably stick with Uber.
GrahamsGram Posted November 29, 2021 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2021 I have taken Uber to ports but never picked up at port. Is it difficult?

PrincessPatti Posted November 29, 2021 #10 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Try SAS Transport. Very reasonable. I think they usually only do hotel to port or port to airport, but if you call, they will work with you.
ChattTenn Posted November 29, 2021 #11 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Before covid some cruiseline they were selling transport to Miami and Fl. Lauderdale (check with your cruiseline). Once you get to Fl. Lauderdale airport get a taxi to port (very close). I believer Uber is very pricey.
erinsmom03 Posted November 29, 2021 #12 Share Posted November 29, 2021 We are using SAS Transportation to take us from the port in Miami to FLL airport. If you don't see it specifically on their website, email them. That's how I booked that segment of our trip.
GrahamsGram Posted November 29, 2021 #13 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Thanks to everyone that responded to my inquiry. I will try SAS. We have only gone out of Miami once, usually sail from PC, Ft.L, or San Juan. Nancy
