We'll be in Astoria on a Saturday in April.  Seems like cruise season won't be in full swing yet in Astoria.  Looks like Enterprise is the only car rental company in the area, but they are closed on Saturday.  The trolley is temporarily not in service. I have inquiries into a couple of taxi companies. 

 

Are there any other transportation options?

Rental car is a good option.  We've been three times, most recently in June by car, the other two by cruise ship.  Five stars to the tugboat cruise in nearby Warrenton.  The trolley may be operational but it's on rails and limited in range, but excellent and all-volunteer.  The coffee shack by the Cannery Hotel is a local gem.

If you are into beer, just walk into town and settle in at the Astoria Brewery, aka The Wet Dog.  Good beers and decent pub food.

Sounds like something we'd like to do. How walkable is it into town, i.e. how far?

Stopping here 4am - 4pm in 2025, thinking of doing the Shot In Astoria (movie location) 3 hour excursion. Has anyone done this excursion? The website currently has an issue as tour is 2-5pm and is back after sailaway time. Are any other Princess tours recommended?
