@springaussie

It looks like there’s going to be a shortage of ships during the 2026 Alaska season.

Alaska is looking at having Voyager ,Anthem,Quantum and Ovation.

That leaves only Navigator in Los Angeles.

I don’t think they will bring a Radiance though the Panama for L.A .

Unless they send Spectrum to L.A for the summer season, they might bring another ship to the pacific.

Maybe Odyssey or a Oassis ?

Chilli Odyssey has a port bookings in Athens early April 2026.

Surely this is for a transfer to our region. Or was a transfer to our region.
i will be watching where Odyssey goes with interest.

I was blasted in the main thread for suggesting this could happen with Odyssey.

Royal may not even fill the Los Angeles spot with another ship during the northern summer 2026.

I don't believe Oasis class ships can do tenders which probably counts them out for Alaska.  Even though all Alaskan ports are typically docks, busy days at places such as Juneau can mean some ships have to part-tender.  HAL and Princess get preference for the docks due to their legacy standing so RC can be among the ships that end up getting shuffled about,

I agree about an Oasis in Alaska and they are a warm weather ship .

I was thinking about L.A would need a extra ship as I think R.C is going to ramp up its market there.

I would like to know why they always run the Voyager ships Oz to Seattle as  one cruise but Quantum and Radiance Class are only cruises Oz to  Hawaii. Then another one Honolulu to Vancouver.

If the cruise is ending in Seattle, nobody can embark in Hawaii, as it would become a US to US line voyage. If the cruise ends in Vancouver, they can embark passengers in Hawaii. I guess they could take Voyager to Vancouver, but if they are basing her in Seattle, that would be followed by an awkward Vancouver to Alaska cruise that returns to Seattle, which I gather don't sell as well.

I was thinking about doing it but too many sea days .

It looks like Celebrity Solstice won’t be doing the repo via Australia after next season .

They’re been ending in Vancouver to get around the PVSA .

I don’t think Voyager is very popular with repositioning. Just get it there, over and done with.

I was wondering why they are sending a old ship like that to a cash cow like Alaska.

People are buying the destination and apparently they are charging a fortune for it.
