New Orleans Embarkation Question - Breakaway December 2021

Are you able to go to the Marriott and get tested and then return to your hotel to collect bags and check in OR do you have to drop bags first, then go to Marriott for testing and then check in?

First option is preferred...

Also, is there a shuttle for those with mobility issues (especially if expected to drop bags and walk back and forth).

Thanks

You don’t have to drop bags in order to get tested.
The only potential issue I see that the test may be delayed and you’ll have to rush to the hotel.

Didn’t see any transportation but saw that people with limited mobility were assisted either by NCL or Eurofin employees. Not sure how it worked exactly. Could be good idea to contact NCL with this question.

Another option, if it helps, would be to check out of your hotel and take a cab or Uber to the Marriott.  Ask at the front desk if they can store your bags for you temporarily.  Get tested, then claim your bags and proceed to the cruise terminal to check in.  It may help if you are a Marriott rewards member, but they probably will do it for anyone who pays the fee / tip.

We went to get tested at just after 9 am and afterwords returned to terminal to finish check in process.  We returned to hotel after breakfast and leisurely morning walk to shower and collect luggage.  Next we took taxi to drop off luggage and were hoping to walk on to ship just after noon.

Would have worked perfectly except for delays due to Covid issues from previous cruise and subsequent meetings with CDC.

Can't speak to all the here and there places to go or whatever, but when we went and got tested you didn't go straight from test to terminal, another words you're not entered into some sort of isolated bubble after the test.

We just walked and dropped off luggage, then walked to test, then to terminal. But there's no reason if you have time or are close by you couldn't go walk to test when it opens, then go back to room to grab your things.

Just make sure not to damage or remove your testing band. Outside of that, as long as you have time you should be fine to go test then start dealing with luggage.

We where on the Breakaway this past week and we stayed at the Hyatt. We walked next door to get our Test, then went to our hotel and got our luggage and dropped it off. Absolutely for me was the easier choice.

So, assuming I can get tested as close to 9am as possible (which is my booked time) we have plenty of time to go back to the hotel, have a leisurely brunch and then head back to the boat with luggage, to board between 11 and noon in time for lunch...

Can anyone clarify if the time on our edocs is for port arrival or COVID testing? If it’s for port arrival (ex: 11:30-12:00), then what time would I get tested?
We’re staying at the Marriot, so that detail will be easy!
We booked the cruise on the 19th rather late (2 weeks out), so we missed any previously sent messages with testing time instructions. We’re registered with eurofins, too.

When we went on the 5th, our time was 11:30, we showed up to get tested and 9am and there was only about 10 people in front of us. They do not check times at the testing site.
