Specialty Dining Reservation on Board

In your experience, how difficult is it to reserve specialty dining while on board?  I have that cancelled cruise OBC to use.  I never wait 'til on board to reserve our dining so just curious if I wait, will we be able to reserve steakhouse, tepanyaki and italian?  We're on the Panorama for the March 12 sailing.

I know, of course, every sailing is different. Just looking for real world experiences.  Thanks for your insight.

No problem ever in my experience.... same day, usually call in the morning.  In fact in most restaurants you can simply walk in.  In that situation you won't get a table by the window.  Enjoy.

Tepanyaki could be tough (or not).

 

There will always be some cancellations. You can wait list once on the ship, if necessary

Teppanyaki can be the tough one depending on how many people you have. As a solo I had no problem booking it mid-cruise. They have added lunch seatings for that as well now. The first time I was on panorama it was only dinner.

We booked our specialty dining reservation on board through the hub app - it was super easy and there were lots of openings.

We had to change our Teppanyaki reservation on the Mardi Gras because they changed the first formal night due to the entire itinerary being changed and we had no problem doing that. While Teppanyaki was completely full the first few nights, by the end of the cruise it was not. Of course, this can change from cruise to cruise.
