Just received ship & cabin assignment for our NYE cruise

I received a call from Carnival stating our reservation is confirmed for NYE!

 

They said we would receive an email but I was able to see my booking online.

 

I’m so excited that we are on the Sunshine and they upgraded us to a balcony! 

 

Now we just have to check in and test negative🙏

They kicked in 25% FCC, too. In addition to the $200 per cabin OBC given. We have 2 cabins because the third guest fare was $1000+. Booked an upper/lower with no single supplement and Cheers/RU2. Got moved to Sunshine, 2 interior now on same deck, OBC & FCC, still have Cucina and JiJis. I booked Horizon for more food options, didn't even know  

Sunshine has them too. Never dreamed of cruising over the holidays this cheap.

Actually, I don't consider it a downgrade. 

 

The Sunshine is a completely refurbished ship with all the upgrades and a beautiful serenity deck with a pool. 

I have never sailed on the Sunshine so it will be new to me and the Horizon will be back eventually.

The on board credits which I had with the casino offer and the additional credit for the change, plus the free play, Carnival is actually paying me to cruise!  😆

We just received our ship change for NYE as well !!  Also on the Sunshine. Looks like they dropped the 2 DR stops , and replaced them with 1 stop in Bimini,  which is fine. We have never cruised over New Years, or on the Sunshine. Has anyone heard what the entertainment/piano bar/ play list shows are going to be? We were on the Horizon in September and the entertainment was fantastic!!

Great attitude... I am sure you will have an awesome cruise. I was a little bummed about my cancelations and itinerary changes but once I was finally back on board I had one of my best cruises ever.

I wouldn't mind missing La Romana, but swapping Amber Cove for Bimini seems like a major downgrade to me. Amber Cove has free amenities such as the pool and free lounge chairs. Bimini is owned by Resorts World and requires a day pass to use the pool, etc.
