If an event is not on the schedule pretty much a tacit acknowledgment that it ain’t happening.  Pandemic situation is changing a lot, I assume you knew that prior to deciding to go on the cruise.

Maybe true, but no way should they be charging as much as they are for these holiday sailings if they can't produce the same cruise products as there should have been. They all should be getting some money back and NOT OBC.

Thanks for sharing.  How are the common areas: bars, pool, windjammer, etc.?

Overall it’s clear that there is a huge staff shortage. It’s clear because — I’ve had several crew just say it lol. 
 

Pools were closed yesterday after 8pm.  No long lines. 
No major lines in Windjammer or elsewhere.
No seating at any bars. 
Masking is generally universal — but with kids not always complying. Staff is not saying anything when the kids pass them. Other guests are definitely reminding kids. 
 

When we arrived at Coco today we went to find the Beach Club tram (along with lots of over people). We were told that due to tram operator shortages they eliminated it. We happened to be on a pier tram with a full tram of people going to the beach club so the driver graciously took us directly there. 
 

I’m not disappointed about shows being cancelled if performers / crew are sick or in quarantine. I get that. I’m disappointed that they aren’t being transparent about it. It’s ‘just not there’.

We were on the previous Dec 18th Symphony and things were definitely changing rapidly!

 

We got the teen specific cruise compass waiting in our cabin with lots of planned events throughout the days - only to walk over and find the area only open from 8pm-12 with minimal activities marked on a white board.

 

He still had a great time, but hours and availability of venues were definitely reduced.

 

Shows were still scheduled - in fact we saw Hiro while still in Miami waiting to depart.

 

On the 3 or 4th day they cancelled casino tournaments and bingo and prohibited smoking in the casino as well.

 

Masking was good on ours, but some people couldn’t count to 6 for elevator capacity limits

I watched one woman stretch her arms across the elevator doors so nobody else would step on.
