Shuttles are great until they are not. We took a shuttle a few years ago and the first people to get off took our bags and because we were in the front of the shuttle we had no way to know that they were gone until our stop. Since then we try to park close enough to walk or take a cab with just us in it.

That's one of the reasons I hate shuttles.  If anyone gets off before me, I'll get off and make sure my bags stay on the shuttle.

Just ignore the time they say to line up ( your luggage is what saves your place in line for most people).   Get there at least half an hour before that, maybe 45 minutes.

Or let the crowd clear and walk down 10 minutes after they start letting people off. You will walk straight off the ship with zero wait.

We always walk off with our luggage ourselves because we have early flights.   It's easy.   Just ignore the time they say to line up ( your luggage is what saves your place in line for most people).   Get there at least half an hour before that, maybe 45 minutes.   Some people get there an hour ahead.   We don't worry so much about breakfast, we just grab a muffin at al Bacio or nothing at all and just get something at the airport (or you - on the road).   In most cases we're among the first couple dozen off the ship.   Once we were THIRD off!   Obviously if there's a hang-up in customs you'll wait, but so will everyone in line.    Even if we have a later flight or something, we still walk off with our luggage, and there's no wandering around the terminal to find it.    It's worked for us for many cruises.   We also never pre arrange a shuttle.  Taxis are readily available but for you obviously it's not an issue.   Most people we've talked to don't park at the port but use the very convenient shuttle to the parking place nearby.   It's not a short walk to your car otherwise and it's more $$.

Either way, have a great cruise.

On several of our cruises, if no one was standing in the walk off line with their luggage, it was removed from the line,..,good idea to stay with one's luggage.

Pre Covid, the lines started  very early and snaked around long distances.. People who arrived at the announced time were surprised. Some said they would miss their flights and tried to cut the line..minor  chaos ensued. Unpleasant way to end a cruise.   Walk off  eventually became more trouble than it was worth!  Suite guests are  released first. Everyone else goes to the  walk off line so you are really not first unless in a suite.

On  our EDGE cruises, we found it was easier to wait in the theatre than AQ or Elite areas, and just roll bags down the hall to the exit area on same level.

Agree..long walk to parking garage is a negative.  They made a big fancy building but still  a   narrow access way for vehicles  and not  great for pedestrians walking with luggage to the garage !
