Mayan ruins

Hello, coming into Belize City on a cruise this week , will be here from 8 -5, and looking to go to a Mayan ruins. Want to with tour group or driver, rather than with the ship. Which ruins would recommend and how or who would you recommend get us there? Thanks.

Your closest ruins will be Altun Ha.  About 45-50 minutes from the tender pier.

 

Check with King David.  They can do this.  King David Belize Private Tours, Cave Tubing, Zip Line Tours, Mayan Tours (kingdavidbelizetours.com)

 

Xunatunich probably needs a ship excursion, too far.  And Lamanai needs a boat ride then trek to ruins.  Good tour but your last tender is around 4 or 4:30 ship time.  That's 3 or 3:30 Belize time.

 

At King David they can do all 3 and give you an approximate time.  Then you can decide.

We did Belize Exotic Adventures through Shore Excursioneer.  Outside of waiting for another party for a long time before we started, it was great.  Came with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
