Did you know that if you book two cruises (both of which have a free airfare promotion) back to back, also known as a butterfly cruise, that Viking will not honor the promotion?  Their solution after a month of back and forth?  Cancel the second cruise.

Will they allow you to book them in separate transactions vs as one reservation? That response is really not in their best interest.

The free airfare is a problem if you go that route. You can get there but if you don't use the first leg of the second flight reservation (because you are already there), the rest of the flight plan will be cancelled the moment you don't board the first leg, leaving you stranded.

Free air can be full of restrictions, usually imposed because of Viking's contract with airlines.  Sometimes Viking can be flexible and sometimes they can't.
