When we were there in September, we never saw any quarantine labels but were told the building closest to road on way to OH was were the quarantined new staff when they got on the island. Asked a few staff and none even knew we were not staying. We did have a shuffle in ports and did do a second stop at OC.
Motegi Posted January 12, 2022 #81 Share Posted January 12, 2022 (edited) When we were there in late November on Divina we stayed at Ocean Cay overnight as scheduled. Will be on Mera next week and scheduled for overnight. We'll see how it goes! P.S. Maybe Mera's Captain is less comfortable departing OceanCay in the wind? Could very possibly be….mera is a bigger/taller ship…

Motegi....I think you and I have to expect the miss OC next week but hope for the best. Wind forecast is 12-18 mph next week. Unsure what the max limit is for wind is for OC docking. I guess I'll expect to collect $250 from my insurance carrier if we miss it - I was surprised to see they had an option to buy protection for "inconveniences" like missing ports or getting rained on.... I hope we make it to OC....

They have to sail into a skinny channel all the way to the dock. Do a 180° tight turn then come into the dock sideways. They have a tug standing by. If the wind is strong, I hope it's exactly aligned with the dredged channel so no X-wind 🙂
