Carnival Valor NYE Cruise (maybe)

Cozumel was kind of a bust. The snorkeling part of our snorkel excursion was canceled. They said you can drink that much longer, but we passed. I see Red Frog Pub is having happy hour again today, but we are still finishing off the pain killer fishbowls we stashed.

Are your ordering those pizzas without cheese or is is just not showing? I've seen more cheese on a terrible little Caesar's Pizza lol. Second happy hour was nice, bet folks took advantage of that and it drove sales. Seems like everything is open and this is a pretty normalish cruise. That's great!

The pizza has cheese and a wonderful taste with a thin, crisp crust. I love it. It got a little wrecked when I tossed the cookies on it. You can also get Caesar salad at the pizzeria, which some people may not know.

The second happy hour on Valor is unusual. Normally only one on embarkation day on the short cruises. I don't know how many people really knew about it. I did, and didn't take advantage. We still have plenty to drink before the cruise ends. I don't think I've purchased a drink since the first day punchbowls. Think I still have a free drink loaded on my S&S card. Alcohol-wise, this has been an inexpensive cruise.

I would say it has been a normal cruise in the new normal sense. There is a covid ward, but I haven't heard (or asked about) any cases.

Heard from a different source that there are 2100+ passengers on the ship, so not close to capacity.

LOL @ "It got a little wrecked when I tossed the cookies on it.". I know you meant physically toss them on top but I had to re-read that as I was thinking intinaially "daym Blerk, that's nasty" as I read it. 😆 Glad the cruise is going well for you.

Passing rigs and packing. So sad. But have a little over a bottle of wine and more to be consumed tonight! No more casino this trip - they got back more than they deserved.

It was a good report and your food looked much better than some of the other reviews 😉. Our group would save a bottle of wine for the last night, then go to the very top deck to say goodbye to the ship. Some of the ladies would cry, even a few fellows too. But not me, I just sat there looking at the stars, drinking everyone's wine. 😇  Say, did any bugs bite your legs?🤣

The last bottle won't survive supper tonight. I might purchase a farewell martini if I want more, but have to be in some sort of condition to drive tomorrow. Cafe au lait and a sugar rush from beignets will help.

I have a spray for bugs.
