Cancel options in light of CDC recommendations

Good morning…so I just called NCL to see what my options were after reading the “FCC” thread…I was told that I would have to pay a $250 cancellation fee per person. Our cruise departs January 3rd.
The FCC would only apply if NCL cancels the cruise. 
 

anyone have more reliable information?

Scroll down to the FAQ's which should answer most of your questions.  There should be no cancellation fee but it says you must specifically say your cancelling under the peace of mind policy, not just ask for FCC.  I am not cancelling so can't verify how well this is working...

You might want to call back again and let the agent know there was a new update that was sent out yesterday afternoon/evening about cruises departing before 5/31/2022 and cancelled before 1/31/2022.  If they don’t know ask for a supervisor.  I am not sure where they got the $250.00 cancellation fee from?

Are you in the US?  If not, terms (including possible nonrefundable deposits may apply).  Or did you use  now-expired Cruise Next certificates for the reservation?  That would explain the $250 amount, meaning a $125 actual loss.

We were due to sail on Jan 2 on Bliss.  Called and canceled this am with full fcc given.  Over an hour for our ta to talk to nil and get it done.
