(Another) new Covid-19 Variant, 'IHU', has been discovered in France!

The pre-print did say that “It is too early to speculate on virological, epidemiological or clinical features of this IHU variant based on these 12 cases.”

It was first discovered in mid-November, about the same time as Omicron, and the WHO has been keeping an eye on it,  but "has not yet deemed this IHU variant a variant of interest, a variant of concern, or even a variant under investigation." Since its discovery in November, there have been only a dozen reported cases.
