Recently RCI has closed a sailing to new bookings when they get to their made up capacity limit. Made up is right! I called to add my adult son and was told no; I had previously called to switch my mom and my son and also was told "no" because capacity was set. Made no sense because it wouldn't change capacity if Mom exits and son enters..

Since RCL system can only handle 4 on 1 invoice they booked a child on a separate invoice but put all of the deposit on the primary. So now it looks like their system canceled the 2nd invoice. I am working with my casino host now but I also just sent an email to the Executive offices. This is frustrating and I do not want to make final payment until all 5 people are confirmed. RCL has a terrible IT department, they should be able to handle as many passengers on 1 invoice as a cabin can have.
Rare colesc15 Posted January 10, 2022 Author #228 Share Posted January 10, 2022 About as busy as I've seen it anywhere and can still get a seat up top or around the ship. Just a gorgeous day! While back home.. 4

Does anyone know to the contrary!? I was a little concerned about this too since I'm on next week. No one here will be able to tell you with any certainty. Perhaps those on board could ask what is the expected occupancy for next week at guest services (even GS won't know with certainty). When I was onboard a B2B last October with Celebrity, they were able to tell me what they knew at the time for the 2nd part of the B2B. Just looking at a sample of available cabins to book, I think that there are a lot more people cancelling the cruise than those booking. I'm in a boardwalk balcony and when I looked a couple of weeks ago, there were quite a few available for booking. Just now, I think that number more than doubled. They could have been empty a couple of weeks ago as well (Royal could have been holding them back) though. I think I'll be able to keep the curtains open and still have privacy. For the sakes of the unlucky few across the way, I won't bank on it 😏 1
nelblu Posted January 10, 2022 #234 Share Posted January 10, 2022 There's a thread on the Anthem sail and mentioned that the WJ is by reservations only. Is this happening on the present Allure sail.

Many tables are marked off for distancing and unusable even though they are spread apart and makes it difficult to find a table at breakfast. That's the way it was on the initial Oasis sail in September. Every other table was empty for social distancing with signs. What about the MDR, are tables separated in the vaxxed deck. I sure hope you’re right! I really do hate that so many had their cruises cancelled, but having fewer on board does make me a little more comfortable about cruising. (And if RC was smart, they would TRY to reduce the number on board — but not sure how likely that is!)

Looking at the Anthem thread, there was a notation in the Cruise Compass that reservations were required (RR). Looking in the Royal app, it just shows WJ is open for breakfast and lunch but that is likely not updated for next week.

Passengers who are traveling with no unvaccinated guests get the wristband and must be worn at all times so you can enter vaccinated only areas. Word of advice, do not tighten it too far so you can slip it off when showering or sleeping. 2

Not really sure why since everyone other than mods need to be vaccinated. Last night, entering the casino, they asked to see if since I had long sleeves on. It made more sense a month ago when vaccinated only areas you could take your mask off but it is what is at this point..whatever keeps cruising a thing I suppose

Spaced much better, no more traffic and at worst you are sitting somewhat close to parties that will only be there for a short time. In MDR you could be 18" next to someone for an hour.
