welshy74 Posted January 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2022 Hello I’m contemplating booking Iona for the 12th Feb sailing and looking at a single balcony cabin. Has anyone stayed in one of these or has a photo? I understand they are much smaller than a standard balcony which is not an issue but would be good to read some feedback before I book. LifeonMars Posted January 9, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) Personally go for a normal size Cabin, usually works out cheaper and you get a Queen Size Bed. Only time I purchase a Solo Cabin is on QM2 where Deck 3 and Deck 2 Ocean View are spectacular with Beds being ¾. davecttr Posted January 9, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2022 I would go for a standard balcony cabin as they are larger and not much difference in price. Plus of course there are an awful lot more of them to choose from.
wh1981 Posted January 10, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2022 We were on Iona for the Christmas and New Year cruise in one of the Aft suites on Deck 11; we got to know a man on his own in one of the single balcony cabins. We had a look in his room and it was absolutely tiny and you cannot sling a cat in them - avoid if possible - it really is worth paying extra to have a double cabin
