In general all UK bookings are non refundable but in these very different times we can use the Cruise with Confidence clause so I can’t understand why the OP is being refused.

Unfortunately, deposits have never been refundable in UK.

In April 2020, we cancelled our August 2020 cruise, due to Celebrity, at that time, saying that over 70’s required a doctor’s ‘Fit to Sail’ letter.

I knew I wouldn’t get one, as I had been told to Shield, due to ‘ Multiple long term conditions’ ( which are well managed).

The UK also advised against cruising.

We decided to cancel and I thought that these would be good reasons why Celebritycruises could refund, as the first reason was of their making.

However, when I rang Celebrity, I was told that our sailing wasn’t eligible for a refund, but I could have FCC, or I could claim from our Insurance company.

Eventually, we took the FCC.

It might be useful to contact CelebrityCruises Captain’s Club on their Social Media sites.

Jack or Sam usually reply within a couple of hours ( except at weekends).

Good luck.
