Willing to put up with the travel hassles for a long land trip, but certainly not for a shorter fly down, fly home cruise. We feel the same way. We are driving to Palm Springs for about 3 weeks in February, and see how that goes. We don’t cruise until the Grand Africa this fall, and board in Montreal to avoid the flight to FFL. Eventually we have to fly back to Canada from Florida with all it entails. By then we’ll have been gone long enough to make it worth the hassle and expense, and home will be waiting. Bi-furcated cruises does not mean co-mingled cruises. 30% still remain injection-free, so they would be the group willing to cruise together without this particular mandate. Some of us can imagine cruises with no strict protocols because so far the current restrictions are not particularly effective as we hear every day. We also learn more every day about those with acquired immunity due to past infections. One size no longer fits all - as we follow the accumulating trial and error data. I think that if the scenario you describe was carried out, it would prove whether the world is being overcautious about Covid or not. The results would be interesting and enlightening. 🤔

But we certainly will know more now by March 2022, than when they shut everything down in March 2020. Two years of accumulating data is already changing the original dialogue. Science confirmed by data will soon take priority over speculation, which is all we had back in 2020.
