New to Carnival, beverage package question

I was wondering if Carnival ever has promotions where the beverage package is included like some of the other cruise lines do. I’ve gotten spoiled on my last several by having it included and not having to pay separately for it. After pricing out a 7 night cruise on the Panorama I was shocked to see that the beverage package for two would be almost as much as our cruise fare! 😳

They have cruise fares that include the beverage package, but there is no price break so I don't see why you wouldn't hold on to your money until right before you leave.  Make sure you book before you board because there is a price break for that.

@LincolnLog log in to Carnival and view Today's Deals in your VIFP list. They have been offering the RU1, RU2, RU3, and RU9, Cheers on Us fare. RU1 is best, RU2 is a nice discount and RU9 ia about worthless.

They have been giving away free cabins in casino offers for months during the restart so, that also makes Cheers more affordable. I know NCL has Free At Sea pricing but it is hardly free.

If price is your priority, then you must look at the total price.  If a cruise on NCL or Celebrity, for example, which “include” the beverage package cost in the fare cost $1500, but the same category cabin on Carnival, plus the cost of cheers will run you $1200, then, as they say, you do the math 😜

In your own words, if the cost of cheers is almost as much as your cruise fare, then I say you got a pretty good deal on your cruise fare.  It pays to check prices because you can get deals on the other lines as well,  but it’s hard to beat Carnival’s pricing.  Hope that helps.

You need to price out what your sailing on the Panorama would be with Cheers added and then compare it to what you would pay for a similar sailing on the Bliss with their drink "perk".  That is the only way to then find out which way is a value to you.

Thanks for all the info. I know that you pay for the “free” perks on other lines in the end and yes even paying separately on Carnival it still ends up being cheaper. Maybe I’m being greedy but I just want to make sure I’m not missing out on anything before I book.
