ques re: cancelling reservation

we need to cancel our reservation, we have only paid a deposit, but had included insurance in our package.

 

do we lose our insurance, or do we get our whole deposit back since we are almost 1 yr away from our cruise?

As a former TA I would surmise that you will lose your insurance money paid (as it is generally required to be paid at deposit). You will get the rest of your deposit less any cancellation fee's the TA might charge back though since your so far out from the sailing date.
