  1. Any idea how much the taxi's are from the cruise ship pier to Paradise Beach?
  2. Which pier does the Carnival Jubilee dock at in Cozumel?
  3. Sailed her 2/4/24-2/9/24 found the ship to be in great condition. Very clean and well kept with no terrible signs of rust. There were a few chairs in Studio B that were broken as they were fold-downs and they kept going down to the point you could slide off of it. Sadly the cupholders in the main show lounge serve no purpose as the glasses used now will not fit in them. Food was better than expected, Chops and Giovanni's were excellent and Johnny Rockets was fun too. I heard the ice cream from the soft serve dispensers wasn't good but didn't try any myself. The Promenade Cafe is a life savor for late night eats but it gets BUSY. Show's were not media productions as found on new ships, the true stars are the ship's singers and dancers the backdrops are meh. Sadly I wasn't impressed with the comedian on our sailing or the piano player in the Schooner bar but that is a subjective opinion.
  4. I know that both "specialties" are included at this point but I've heard on a YouTube review I cannot find now that if you have an assigned dining time you cannot make a reservation before a certain time. Is this true? Is that just if you try to book it on the app while onboard? What if you just show up and ask to be seated? I realize other ships have these restaurants but I am speaking specifically to the Jubilee as it's new and the dining for the first year or so may be a bit different than other similar ships.
  5. Makes me excited and happy to be going on the new Carnival Jubilee in May, food videos on YouTube look GREAT!
  6. 17 Days until we sail. Is everyone excited? Here in the northeast we've been having lots of snow lately, I hope it doesn't impact any travel. I'm heading to florida a few days before we sail to celebrate and be there early.
  7. Booked and looking forward to this ship!
  8. I believe the maiden voyage of the Jubilee embarks from Galveston today, wishing everyone a safe and lovely cruise! Please report back with all the details! Super excited to be sailing her in May 2024!
  9. Not sure but what's the thinking? Would the Royal Night happen on a 5 night sailing? This dinner menu includes Maine Lobster Tail (not at an extra charge). https://eatsleepcruise.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Royal_Main_Dinner_Royal_Night_6.pdf Thoughts/Experience? Thanks
  10. Still cheaper than Royal Caribbean that is as much as $89.99pppd before gratuity!
  11. They did install some water slides on it's last drydock: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/02/27/royal-caribbean-adds-water-slides-explorer-of-the-seas
  12. pretty sure Atlantis only does whole ship charters.
  13. I'm not cruising to eat Mac & Cheese, a hamburger or fried chicken for dinner sorry. I'll stop at the A&W/KFC on my way home from work if that's what I'm in the mood for.
  14. The only reason that is, is because the price of cruising hasn't changed in 35 years. in 1989 it cost about $1000pp for an inside cabin for a 7 night cruise and that didn't include any amenities. Cruise lines unfortunately have cheapened their product to attract the mass market. As a result there are fights and drunks and people going overboard and everything else. If you adjusted for inflation that means the interior room on a 7 night should be going for about $2460pp. Imagine the quality of cruise you'd get if that were the case.
  15. well I've been cruising for 35 years and it's a far cry from the crab claws appetizer and frog legs provencale that Royal Caribbean used to serve. A hamburger, at dinner and you're not in a buffet line???? Horrible!
  16. Horrible if that constitutes a cruise line dinner menu, Outback has a nicer selection!
  17. No cruise lines have ever made it policy to guide the documentation requirements by the government to travel. It's generally a liability if they were to do so and also they do not represent the US government who makes the requirements for national security or other reasons. It's kind of a buyer beware situation and actually a terrible shortcoming by Customs and Immigrations & Naturalization if you ask me as they don't even do a good job on their websites to guide cruisers.
  18. Going on Carnival Jubillee in May 24, was on the Celebrity Summit last August 2022 and food had already gone way down hill since my Apex cruise earlier in Feb 2022. Buffet's were unremarkable and Dining room menu's lacked imagination and the sea day brunch was a mess. Tuscany Grille was good but Le Petite Chef was just about the show, strip steak and french friends were the menu so nothing thrilling. I haven't sailed Carnival since 2018 but food is always consistent. I've always been a big fan of quick options of Burritos at the Cantina and Guys Burgers but even to have the Wok and deli sandwiches made fresh to order has kept me happy when on a Carnival cruise.
  19. I hear all you've said but I cannot say I've experienced anything different on my last 3 Celebrity cruises. With the drink packages all lines have seemingly cut back on bar waiters because it cuts back on drinking which saves the cruise line money. I have not had any food product of such quality on Celebrity to make it memorable. While I enjoy the shows I'm not expecting Broadway, give me some cuties on the stage and I'm fine or better yet an off-pitch vocalist to give me something to cringe to.
