Question(s) About Elite Cruises

Going on my first Elite later this year on the new Celebration.  I've been on numerous Premier and Ultras and excited to try Elite.  I tried to find answers to these questions in search but no luck.

Concerning preferred drink waiting in cabin, I read somewhere that this would be a bottle of liquor, but confused as to why you would want a bottle of liquor if you get free drinks everywhere on the ship.  Does it include mixers?  Do most people just bring the bottle off at the end of the cruise?

Also about waived Room Service Charges - I assume this means that we won't pay for the items like wings, pizza, etc. on the room service menu that have a charge?

And last question - is the Free Social Wifi Plan good for things like facebook, etc.  I never get a wifi package because I usually want to break away from everything when on a cruise, but wonder if this would be nice just for sending pix to my daughter while we are cruising.

Love to hear from anyone who has been on Elite post-covid about their experience.

Where is @kwokpot when you need him? Pretty sure he has been on a Mardi Gras Elite cruise.

Are you going Thanksgiving week? I see the Celebration Elite cruise for that 6 day cruise. I'm considering it also.

You're going to receive an three weeks before the cruise. The email will ask for three decisions. First is your in room bar setup choices. You will have the ability to choose two bottles of wine and/or spirits from a list in the email. The alcohol are full size unopened bottles so you can either consume it onboard or carry it off the ship ( if you're flying from the port remember the bottles have to be in checked luggage, you can't carry it on a plane). You will also have a choice of mixers to go with the alcohol, the choices are sodas and waters.

The next choice you have to make is whether you want a complementary shore excursion for 2 from a list of prechosen excursions or $300 spa credit meant as $150/pp to use in the spa however you want.

The third thing you need to decide is whether you want free parking at the ship port or free private transfers for 2 people to and from the port. It can be from the airport or a hotel location

Yes we are going on the Thanksgiving cruise on the Celebration.  Thank you for all the info.  I am excited to finally go on an Elite.  I've done a lot of Premiers and several Ultras.  Is the casino as crowded on Elite as it is on Premier and Ultra?

This helps me quite a bit.  Will probably take the bottle of wine - my sister will be in the cabin next to me and she'll probably go for wine too.   We drive to the port so free parking (especially in Miami) is a nice perk.

It will also be my first time in a forward extended balcony (great casino deal).  Of course, after I book, I see some people didn't like that cabin on the Mardi Gras due to the rail cover which blocks your view if you are sitting on the balcony.  I am sure I will love it - and it was free - so no complaints from me.

Again, thank you for taking the time to help me out - I truly appreciate it.

Definitely not as crowded as ultra or premier.  Much smaller group and you interact more with the hosts.  The excursion with the hosts was enjoyable and the limo service to from airport/hotels was fantastic.

Fantastic - happy casino won't be as crowded.  Living in central Florida, we typically drive down same day (3 1/2 hour drive) - but looking at possibly going down day before and staying at hotel that will allow cruise parking.  It would be nice to be driven to and from hotel and port.  We sail on a Monday and I dread Miami traffic on any weekday - Mondays are particularly crazy.

I've got the Nov Elite  cruise on hold until Friday, awaiting approval of vacation request. I do have a couple of questions, pls.

1) How many times can I use the Elite offers?

2) What if there's 3 of us? Can I just pay for extra for the pick up to/from airport? or the excursions?

Thanks a lot!
