Price checking on sold out category?

We have one of the few ultra spacious ocean views with balcony on the Harmony. There aren’t anymore available. Is it worth it to try price checking since we can’t do it online and there aren’t anymore available so price is unlikely to go down? (Except I suppose for Royal up bids?).

Call them up and ask them to re-price. You never know what can happen. Three years ago, I called to make final payment on a cruise. I knew there were no more cabins left in my category, but asked them to re-price anyway. The rep said the cabin went down $425.00. Now I always ask to re-price.

We've had a similar issue - as we have an Ocean View Large Balcony cabin on our upcoming Oasis cruise.  Often, there aren't open cabins in that particular category.  I'll go through the steps to book a similar category (like a regular Ocean View Balcony) and check if the savings and discounts have changed.  For example, there has been a Resident NRD, Flash Sale and Instant Savings - along with the 30% off.  If any of those discounts change or improve - you can call to ask for a re-pricing.

Definitely call and ask. I've received reductions a number of times when the category is sold out.

FWIW, I have never been able to do this.  We usually stay in a suite though and my assumption is sold out, means a higher price.  Perhaps the room category figures into the equation?
