The Maitr'd of Luminae will attempt to fill you seating request but it may not always be possible.   For example if you usually eat at 8:00 and he seats you at a window table as there is one available but if someone showed up at 7:50 and requested the window they would probably be seated.

It is possible that you could work with the Retreat Host and say you would like a window by the table and willing to wait in the lounge until one is available they would probably accommodate.

I think it is much harder to get a window seat on Edge class since it has a much larger dinning room then M class, Maitre d said we can always have a window , and had it most meals , they went out of there way for us since we had a penthouse.

It is our understanding that Luminae works as a team ( like Blu ) and so the tips are pooled.  So if that’s accurate a tip to the hostess goes into the pool.

I understand the hostess tips may be pooled.  My situation on my last cruise was that the hostess in Blu , went above board and allowed me to eat in Blu( with friends,) even though, being solo,  I was not in Aqua or Retreat on that particular cruise.  It was a 4 day  Christmas cruise and I tipped her very generously the last evening.  I'm hoping, in this case,  she was able to keep the tip for herself.  She was really helpful to me.

Anyone know how extra tip works with The Retreat Pool bar?

On Apex couple of weeks ago, they had a jar for tips so I assumed that tips were pooled. But on this Beyond, I don’t see any tip jar. If I hand couple of envelopes to couple of bartenders at the end of trip, do they pool the tip or will it go to that bartender only?
