Horizon's on Marina and Riviera

I was wondering what the typical sea day and port day evening activities were like in the Horizons bar area.

I'm a ballroom dancer and it looks like this is a nice floor.

Is there a band horizon's band?

Does anyone know approximately how big the floor is?

On our Dec 13 cruise on Riviera there was a wonderful couple who were dancing at every chance. I even saw them practicing in an empty Horizons with no music (or maybe they had earbuds). The show band played on most days during/after happy hour (HH 5-6 pm; music 5:30-6:15) and was always willing to play whatever dance music they wanted; there was definitely room for a tango! The late evening party band tends to be modern/rock/disco tunes, although sometimes the show band played 9-9:45 pm.

The string quartet also plays in Horizons for afternoon tea.  Have seen couples dance during tea time.  It's lovely.  -Katie

I forgot about that...yes, definitely dancing during afternoon tea. Don't be afraid to make requests.

Have you ever seen ballroom groups come onboard?

I'm not sure I want to be the only one out there. LOL

Many years ago   there were a group of  pax  that would  dress  in long gowns & Tuxes  & would dance  before  the evening show

Have not see the gowns in a long time but  people still do  ballroom style dancing  pre show
