Zuiderdam Obstructed "G" or "GG"

Who can tell me if there are some cabins on this deck that are not really terribly obstructed. I am interested in 4100 and 4102 specifically and the others that appear (in brochures) to actually be between the boats.

Any information would really help me if you have stayed on this deck.

Thanks,

Rita

Hi! I was on the Westerdam (which like the Zuiderdam, is a Vista class ship). I had room 4100, a HH (same as a GG) fully obstructed view.

The room have wall to floor windows with a lifeboat. You can stand in the window and "peek" to see beyond the lifeboat.

On the stops that required tending, I have a full view!! I'm a light sleeper, but I never woke up when they where removing the lifeboats :) !!

I have no problem with a Obstructed view, esp since I was traveling solo and got a great deal! You will receive full sunlight regardless.

As for the "G" rooms, you are right at the lifeboat metal posting. You have a better ocean view than a "GG", but unlike the "GG" when the lifeboat is gone, the view in about the same (one of ladies I met on the ship had a "H" room and I had a first hand view).

Also, I say about 95% of the time, I was out of my room and somewhere else on the ship.

I hope this helps!!

Oh well. On some ships there are a few cabins that really do have a fairly good view but I guess this is not one of them. Thanks for answering.

I often book obstructeds since it seems better to me to not be on the very first passenger deck. At least from these decks you can take the stairs. From the very bottom it is tougher.

Anyone else?
