Nassau & Rum

I was wondering what the chances are of finding some Caribbean rum in Nassau while I'm there on a cruise stop?   I have seen a couple mentioned by some online that I'd love to try.  Any suggestions for something nice and smooth.   I've seen one I cannot get here called Redrum,  and also John Watlings which I could visit.   Are both available in Nassau?   Thanks.

You can take a tour of the Watlings distillery and purchase it right there. It's about a 15 minute or so walk once you leave the port area, but be aware that half the walk it uphill. I recommend taking a taxi there and walk back (downhill).

John Watling's distillery is a short walk from the port in Nassau and well worth the trip for quality.  All of the port areas have a liquor store these days where you can buy local varieties if you don't want to actually go to the factory.
