Misty Fjords?

We are considering the HAL shore excursion to Misty Fjords via boat cruise this May.  Recommendations?  Thanks!

I visited Misty Fjord via floatplane that landed on a lake within the Park.  The pilot helped us out of the plane and we stood on the plane's floats for several minutes absorbing the beauty and the silence of our surroundings.  While I have never done the boat cruise into this area, I recommend the floatplane experience if it is available.  If not, the boat cruise ought not be disappointing either.

The boat ride doesn't get very good reviews.

 

I did flight/boat combo - there is a small portion of the boat ride that is amazing - the rest is similar to what you see from a cruise ship.
