cenmn18 Posted February 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2022 Looking for recommendations on senior tours utilizing smaller ships for Galapagos tours. Looking for a slightly slower paced experience. Are some "loops" better than others for wildlife viewing/photo opportunities? Is the Charles Darwin Research Station a must see or more hype than worthwhile? Thank you for taking the time to respond.
diane.in.ny Posted March 11, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2022 The only thing I can recommend is looking at companies that specifically work with seniors, such as Road Scholar This site, if you scroll down, has some good information on the various islands https://www.gadventures.com/travel-styles/cruising/galapagos/
Suzanne123 Posted March 17, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2022 There is a Galapagos forum on TripAdvisor that may help. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g294310-i6637-Galapagos_Islands.html
diane.in.ny Posted April 16, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2022 The Galapagos islands require a lot of walking over mostly uneven terrain. Did it about 14 yrs ago. Now 75. If you are fit and walk regularly, it shouldn't be a problem.

CPT Trips Posted November 12, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2022 You might want to look at Overseas Adventure Travel. Their clientele trends older and they are paced for that.https://www.oattravel.com/destinations/country/galapagos?ds=true&icid=glbsbx%3Asugclk%3Ar_c_t%3Ac%3Agalpagos Their itineraries are longer, 2 plus weeks, as they include either Machu Picchu or the Ecuador’s Amazon.
