Thanks to my fellow CCers I emailed the Casino Department and they added the Drinks On Us when playing and $50 in Freeplay to my upcoming  Panorama Cruise.  I am happy to play to get drinks.I know that it can take time to get drinks.  I was wondering what is the menu for the Casino Bar? Do they offer food as well?

Thanks

I am looking at some of my casino offers. When you have drinks on us as part of your booking do you have to pay 18% gratuities on it when you book like you do with cheers.

No. I always add $1 per drink when I sign the receipt and that goes on the S&S account. If I end up with one or two servers during the cruise who get to know me and go above and beyond, I'll switch to cash tips and then I also try to find them on the last day and do a larger cash tip. I've always found the casino servers to be among the friendliest and most attentive crewmembers on the ship.

No you don't pay any extra for drinks on us.  You will have the option to leave a tip when you sign the receipt for each drink.  I tip $1 per drink and that seems to get me great service.  I mostly drink water.

Thanks. I always give them a dollar with each drink when I’m on the cheers package anyway.

can you order doubles with DOU in the casino?

I tried that on my last cruise.   The casino server said "we can't do that."  Then he immediately said "but I can bring you an extra shot of Jack Daniels in five minutes after I bring you your Jack and Diet."   He brought me the shot in well less than five minutes after he gave me the original drink!  🙂  I don't know if my experience was typical, as I do always tip even with DOU.

I guess that is one way to approach it.  a mixer/shot drink on the ship is so small, maybe I'll stick to beer

I have this too on my next cruise. I’d love to see a menu also.

Are you able to get drinks without gambling? And how many a day was it you get. Also What are usually the hours of the bar? We are on the Mardi Gras.

You are supposed to be gambling when you order your drink.  If your ship has a casino bar, you can try to order from the bar, and some people have reported success with this, but others have not had success.  You get 15 drinks a day max (that is true of everyone, even those not on DOU).   The drinks are served whenever the casino is open, which is all the time EXCEPT 1) when in port, and 2) very early in the morning.

Technically you are supposed to be gambling but that isn't always strictly enforced, especially if you're tipping. The drink limit is 15 per day, and that is total alcoholic drinks regardless of where or on what package. The casino bar is open at times when the casino is not (e.g. during embarkation), but you won't get DOU unless the casino is actually open. The bar stays open as long as the casino does - it's one of those venues where the closing time is just listed as "LATE" in Fun Times.

I have just been offered DOU on my next cruise.  Is it a prerequisite for me to email in to Carnival so that it is added to my card?  Or does the offer get added on my card for the booking automatically when we board?
