Do they really "close" your check in after an hour?

Just wondering, as it really doesn't leave much leeway for any delays in getting covid test results or travel delays.

For instance, on the Northern europe cruises from southampton - the cruise departs at 8pm on a tuesday, so the earliest you can get your test is 8pm on sunday.

Only no testing stations are open that late on sunday, so the earliest you can get it done would be monday morning (7 ish)

And if you've got an early check in (mines 11-12), that only gives a few extra hours if your test results are delayed, even If I got the 12 hour / same day test I'd be nervous..

On the two MSC cruises I've taken since they initiated the check-in windows, no one ever looked at our designated time when we arrived at the cruise terminal to see if we were on time. We simply got in the queue to check-in. Indeed, at Kiel we got there when the MSC bus from the train station got us there. At Dubai, we got to the terminal when our taxi from the airport got us there. The check-in windows are merely suggestions, in my opinion, to spread-out arrivals. In reality, get there when you can.

It is DAYS before, NOT hours, so you can get your test at 8AM on Sunday, not PM.

wow, it is not that way for US sailings.(and it's a good thing this spelled Thursday incorrectly because their IT team is always top notch ;))

Wow, and it's a PCR test!  With time to process of a day or longer, that's cutting it close!
