shoptom Posted February 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2022 I know the original winners had to choose a sail date through this April. I was wondering if anyone was able to choose a new date past April. Maybe after a Covid cancelled date?
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2022 If you want to take advantage of the free cruise, you should probably try prior to the original cut off date... I was also a contest winner, and jumped on the very first cruise out of Miami. Also, expect to receive a 1099 tax form for $2,400 if you decide to accept the free cruise... Just FYI the 1099 has nothing to do with VV, any promotional prize/give away would require one.
klaine99 Posted February 26, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 26, 2022 I was also a winner and had a booking for mid January hoping covid would be finished but then omicrom came along. I am in Canada and with border restrictions and all the testing requirements it was just too difficult to travel. I asked that it be moved to late this year. Twice I was refused and told the cruise had to be taken by April. I emailed the CEO of Virgin and the next day received a reply saying I could change to any date this year. Thank you Virgin! 1
