Kind of a different offshoot of International Working Women's Day.  It  is the reason I met my DW.  She worked for the Republic of China government and got the holiday off that day.  We met 60 years ago today.

I don't think we had any photos of Durban, and I had a volunteerism and don't really have much.  I visited "SOS Village", a support program for families (especially children) of HIV sufferers.  On the way we passed one of the "townships"

 

SOS Village had two major programs.  One was a "family strengthening" program.  Kids whose parents cannot care for them were housed in nice "cottages":

 

 

Another major facet was production of healthy foods with a vegetable garden:
