Is It Me...or is it MSC

We've sailed MSC Seaside 2x prior to covid, and sailing Seashore in 1 month...booked through the casino dept with a 30% discount offer (except our very first cruise in which we used a Military discount). Have nothing but great service from them and short hold times on the phone. But, they specialize in casino bookings, so probably different from general bookings.

Not hard to qualify for the casino treatment as my wife only plays penny slots while I'm at the 3 card poker table and she got the same 30% off offer as I did.

I think I'll weigh in on the MSC call centre staff and the customer services.

I've made 3 phone calls to MSCs call centre and had probably 10 email discussions with MSC customer services.

I can't fault them. Each and every phone call was dealt with professionally, so much so that I've booked another cruise with them even though I haven't sailed with them before.

I'm not expecting the cruise to be the highest class, but you get what you pay for. I think I've got a bargain, well two bargains.

JMHO

PS I'm not an employee of MSC just someone who likes cruising

We do use them for our NCL cruises. Currently, very challenging to get a person on the line, due to Covid . Hires working from home.

We had to look for another TA to book our first MSC cruise, back in 2017.
Found one , out of Florida, that did a good job.
Just found out TA closed down. Now, we have to try and find another .

I just can’t imagine how many customers MSC loses because cruisers just don’t want to deal with their customer service.

Well, they are still shailing so I guess they lose some and then they gain some...

I agree, they are not one for good customer service...

As I’ve stated many times on this site. MSC has the worst customer service on the planet. No one knows anything and none of their customer service people can make a decision. Doesn’t matter what room you book they will change it and not even tell you. So as I try to tell people they are a cheap cruise line but cheap for a reason. If you are like myself and mscdivina2016 you will spend hours with phone calls and emails to try to get it right. It doesn’t have to be your mistake MSC will screw it up for you.

Once they have your money they could care less about what’s wrong.

Save yourself the stress and anguish. Don’t book a cruise with this cruise line. Yes there will be people that will come to their rescue and say it’s been absolutely flawless well these people are few and far between.

Read the reviews and you will see the horror stories. Btw it’s not you it’s them.

This is so true !   When it is good, it is good.  But  never and I mean NEVER encounter a problem. because you are on your own.  Customer Service has no power and the other departments do not have phones (really?) .    We had 2 great cruises and all went well.   And then.........bam !  It went South really fast and could not get anyone to help resolve the issue.    So sad that MSC does not "get it" regarding customer service.
