Pictures taken between Monday, March 14 and Sunday, March 20.

Some of us have an extra hour of daylight at the end of the day...GOLDEN HOUR!

Rules: See above

That's it. This isn't a contest.

All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising).

Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize.

The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays.

Post one. Post many. Up to you.

Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others!

This week's picture was taken earlier in the week than usual. Monday morning found us in Las Vegas for a wedding. For their 10th anniversary, our daughter Kassi and favorite son-in-law, Ronnie decided that they would renew their marriage vows in a city famous for weddings. Unlike many of the weddings performed in Sin City, they planned it ahead of time, neither were drunk or otherwise incapacitated and their children had already been born. The ceremony was brief, the pastor made it fun, and The Little White Chapel was surprisingly charming. After the ceremony, we all went over to the Neon Sign Boneyard museum for family pictures. Many photos were taken but when I saw this sign, it was impossible to resist the visual pun.

I'm a little quicker to get into the thread this time - though my shots are still from this past weekend.  Once again in the wetlands, seeing the great variety of birds and even other animals going through their nesting times now - alligators and turtles have eggs or babies along with many of the birds.

The black-necked stilts have just arrived in town, and this one picked out an island to start a nest, but had to do it in front of a team of judges - black-bellied whistling ducks:

And once the nesting spot has been selected, it's time to mate for the black-necked stilts:

This green iguana had just taken a swim across the open water to get to a muddy island where it could lounge in the sun and eat some foliage with no competition:

Very close up with a great blue heron:

This palm warbler was checking out the sprinklers to make sure they're using made-in-USA products:
