UDP Reservations

I booked the udp for my cruise coming up in July on harmony and had a question about how making reservations works. The advice I always see is to go to a specialty restaurant to make all your reservations but I’ve seen a few comments that mention doing it in the app. Are you able to make dining reservations in the app or is that only for show reservations? Thanks!

On our Xmas cruise on Jewel, we were unable to make UDP dining reservations in the app. We went to a specialty and made them there.

The app is a PIA if you need to make day and time changes if times you want are not available.  We have found Wonderland to have the shortest, if any, lines for making reservations when you board. Everyone seems to head for Chop's.  I have found the perfect protocol for making reservations, I sit at the Trellis Bar with a Gin and Tonic and wait for my wife to come back and tell me every thing is set. Long lines do not bother her, in a former life she was English and loves to Queue Up .

On Harmony in January, I went by Guest Services as soon as we boarded and picked up an entertainment schedule and then sat in the Solarium and made all of our UDP dinner reservations and entertainment reservations on the app with no problem.  Hint - I had a grid printed to pencil everything in before I made the reservations.

Welcome to CC.

 

While the app may work, as mentioned, go to one of the specialty venues with a schedule in mind and do it that way. They may also have times not available in the app.
