I'll keep that in mind and pick up somethings for breakfast.     Sounds like a real disappointment.

Really enjoying your posts and wonderful pictures.

@Jim_Iain, go to the Publix grocery store in the plaza behind the Embassy Suites. Head to the bakery and buy the Guava & Queso (or Guava and cheese) pastelitos (pastries). Then you just need coffee or tea.... it's a great south Florida treat to start your day!

The Celebrity Edge made it to Grand Cayman for the first time since before Covid!  The weather was perfect and we had a great time on our excursion to the sandbar to swim with stingrays.  We all slept in some and went our separate ways in the buffet for breakfast.  Once ready, we headed to the theater to meet for our excursion and tender to shore.  The boat ride to the sandbar was about 30 minutes.  The sandbar was busy, so we went for a quick snorkel first.  I didn’t see much, but did see very tiny brown jellyfish everywhere.  Our guide assured us they do not sting and that they had just arrived to the area a couple of weeks ago (seasonal).  After the snorkel, we went back to the sandbar to swim with the stingrays and had a great time and the guides took photos of each of us petting and kissing the stingrays.  The boat ride back to shore was another 30 minutes, then bus ride to port area, then tender to ship.  I was starving when we got back on board at 2:30.  I had to keep in mind we had Chef’s Table reserved that evening at 6pm, but I was so hungry, I was convince I needed something from the Mast Grill, which would not have been good for the big dinner later.  Thankfully, I stopped in our room first and saw Anastasiia had left a cheese plate with fruit and crackers.  It was perfect!  Thank goodness!!!  Photos are posted below of our excursion.  I have also included photos of Celebrity Today.  More about Chef’s Table in a bit.

I have done the Chef’s Table in past and did not think it was that great.  I thought Chef’s Table last night was wonderful.  The food was really good, staff was very attentive and time did not drag.  I have picture below of the menu and the food.  Parker finally decided to roll the dice at the craps table and apparently was the good luck charm everyone needed.  I’ve never heard the table louder than it was last night.  Today is our last day of the cruise.😭  We expect our sea day theme to be “Relaxation”.

Will have to do that.    We will be at Embassy Suites for 2 nights.    Coming from the West Coast it will be about Midnight before we touchdown so may have to wing it the first morning.

Goodnight Celebrity Edge!  It’s been a great trip!  I’ll post tomorrow all about our last day at sea.  Our flight is already delayed 3 hours so I’ll have more than enough time.  Thanks for following along!

I am really enjoying your review. Can I ask if you booked a dining package before you travelled? I ask as we have booked one for the first time on our edge cruise in May, and I understood that I could select the first restaurant when purchasing the package  and then book the remaining nights when on board.  I, however, was not able to select a restaurant for our first meal - instead it defaulted to a reservation at 3pm on day one but doesn’t indicate the restaurant.  How do you go about booking the individual restaurants as We absolutely do not want to eat dinner at 3pm 🙂

Our last day at sea and the last full day of our cruise arrived too soon.😢 We all agreed the goal of the last day would be “Relaxation”.  Got off to a good start with every single one of us sleeping in until 9am…even the one who wakes up at 6am everyday.  We grabbed a quick breakfast at the buffet, then went our separate ways to achieve our own versions of relaxing.  My version was laying in bed to watch my ocean view and movies on demand.  Cuba was very close this time on our side of the ship.  I would take breaks only to grab lunch and ice cream at the Mast Grill and brought all food back to my room.  Brian liked the Udon Noodles from the Spa Cafe.  Also, we were all able to pack without stress.  Brian and I got ready for dinner early to have a last happy hour at the Martini bar for a Lycheetini before our final dinner at  Luminae.  Had a perfect dinner along with a perfect sunset view (photos below).  We both ordered a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne to toast a successful cruise.  Now on to the meal.  The Amuse Bouche was a bite sized ham and cheese croquette.  Next, most of us ordered the cheese plate listed for dessert, and also ordered the shrimp cocktail and the caesar salad.  Our entrees were the Filet Mignon and Roasted Turbot. All very good!  For dessert, we ordered the chocolate ganache tart.  We were all stuffed…or at least I thought we all were…..I saw evidence this morning the boys

vistied the late night buffet last night.😂 I have been on this itinerary many times for a cruise and I think this was the best experience.  Brian and I both agree the Celebrity Edge is our favorite ship.  We have also enjoyed the others we have cruised, but I think the retreat deck was what really made it hit the top of our list.  Anastasiia was our Retreat Host and she is now our favorite.  She hugged me goodbye this morning and I cried.😭 Looking forward to many more cruises on Celebrity.  While on board, Brian and I booked a Bermuda cruise on the Summit for this summer.  We have never been to Bermuda and would love any tips you have.  I will include several more photos of the ship as I can post them throughout the day and also the last At Sea Celebrity Today.  The airport is very, very crowded.

Thank you!  We did not book a dining package and were able to book restaurants on any night if they were available.  Not sure why it won’t let you.  Might be worth a phone call or chat on the Celebrity website.

Photos from the last night and morning in Luminae.  The Fort Lauderdale airport was very crowded on Sunday.  due to many cancellations and delays.  Some friends of ours have not made it home yet or they rented a car to drive back to Kentucky yesterday. We were fortunate to be on a direct flight to Cincinnati and only have a 3 hour delay.  Will be on the Summit this summer to Bermuda next!
