Best Hotel to stay in when cruising out of Bueno Aires

Need recommendations for hotels when cruising out of Bueno Aries.

I can recommend The Savoy, at least it was very good in 2015. Even included champagne at breakfast. Great location for a bit of sightseeing pre or post cruise.

Staying there in December how is location? Is it easy walking to good restaurants and is it safe?

we have been two times in Intercontinental. Good location

We switched to NH Buenos Aires Crillon better locale and better breakfast

We are staying at the Intercontinental in March 2023 before sailing to Rio.  What are some good things nearby??

We stayed at Claridges a few years ago & it was fine. it was by the shopping area (i think Florida street) .

In 2019, we stayed at the Hilton at Puerto Madero -a new hotel in the extensively redeveloped docklands due east of the Plaza de Mayo. Felt very safe- office workers during the day, genial crowds in the evening.  Lots of good restaurants within walking distance.

There was a Hop On Hop Off bus stop alongside the hotel.  We used that bus to get to other neighborhoods.
