Earliest Return Flight Out Of Houston

Don't book anything before noon, 1 pm would be better. Hobby is a minimum of 45 minutes from the port on a good traffic day. Any slow downs with the ship or on the road and you would miss that early flight.

Now, I will say that when I sailed Rhapsody in December, we were off the ship and at Hobby by 9 am. We were one of the first people off the ship and had a car service. We paid to switch to an earlier flight leaving around noon. Southwest will let you pay the difference in fares and take an earlier flight if there are seats available.

The Galveston Port boards have lots of discussion on car sevice and shuttles. Shared van service runs about the same price as cruise bus transfers, cars will run about double, but that is per car, so you save if you have 3 people. Limo is about the cost of 4 people on a shuttle. Galveston port has had some logistical problems lately with cruiseline transfers depending on number of ships in port. 3 = nightmare, 2= maybe so, maybe not, 1= not so bad. Your own transportation seems to be a better way to go at the moment.
