Rare BlerkOne Posted May 22, 2022 Author #202 Share Posted May 22, 2022 Forgot to point out that on at least one night, the late night comedy shows were in the main show lounge, so no lack of seats. It does lose some intimacy, though.

It does lose some intimacy, though. On our last two cruises on the Glory they did that. On the last cruise they had four comedians in a row. All four were good and two were great. It was one of our best entertainment experiences ever on a ship - at least in public. I agree about the reduced intimacy, but we were happy to trade that for no worries about how early to get there, will there be a line, etc. While those concerns were greatly reduced with the reduced capacity sailings, back to full capacity could take us back to skipping the comedians because we don't go on vacation to stand in line. Carnival cruise ships when in Galveston and until they hit International waters. They only serve a subset of liquors due to Texas taxes. It's why Cheers doesn't begin until the 2nd day.

However - there is a hair dryer in the cabin, so you may or may not need one. If you bring a high wattage dryer, I would be careful plugging anything else in, less you blow the breaker and need to call maintenance. No experience with CPAP, but I assume you would need an extension cord for that. You might call the special needs department and see if you can get Carnival to provide. NO surge protectors are allowed - it constitutes a fire hazard on a ship. I even had an extension cube with an on-off switch confiscated at Mobile - they didn't like that for some reason. Many battery chargers are happy with anything from 100v to 240v, so with an adapter you could use the 220 volt outlet - but make sure want you plug in is compatible. 1

itchin2go Posted June 22, 2022 #218 Share Posted June 22, 2022 I know it's several weeks later and you may not see this. We are going on the Dream in September. Are they back to smoking in the casinos now? Any issues with Covid? What about masking? We took a cruise earlier on a different cruise line and came home with Covid. It seems as though most of the protocals are gone. Your posts were wonderful. Thanks so much!!

There is smoking in the main casino in the smoking area. There is also a non-smoking area of the main casino. The casino annex 1 deck down is non-smoking all the time. There is covid on all ships. Then and now. some cases more serious than others. Some cases not so much. Masks are mostly just recommended but could be required. On my upcoming cruise, it looks like they are required indoors. and thank you!
