They say it takes an hour to walk that round trip. I didn’t time walking down…But I know I got back in 16 minutes. Now that coffee hit me about half way down there…and I had to get back to pee.

It looks like they’re requiring masks in the glacier center. I had no idea and I didn’t bring one. It didn’t look like they were handing them out either. So I got in. Got a few pics and got out.

Imagine the differences I see from my visit to the Mendenhall Glacier in September 1981. There was no Glacier Visitors Center or marked trails and I had to take one of the two taxis in town to get there!
