ging466 Posted May 15, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2022 I'm booked on the above cruise and wondering whether anyone "in the know" would know whether Ponant might change this itinerary to an embarkation somewhere else due to the political unrest/COVID in the Solomon Islands. The Solomon Islands is currently closed to only citizens and there are very limited international flights. Really hoping that this itinerary doesn't get cancelled again. Rare gogo65 Posted May 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2022 I’d say it’s very likely, however I doubt they will make any decisions until a few months before. Our august north east passage cruise was only changed last week (3 months prior) despite the Russian/Ukrainian war starting in February. I think it depends on the cruise beforehand and if there is a logical port they could swap with. they definitely won’t put any one at risk.
